Spanners and wrenches are similar in overall function but different, and they come in many shapes and sizes, and are designed for specific jobs. Depending on the job, it is necessary to have the right tool on hand to do it effectively and without causing any damage. You could ruin the flats of the nut, bolt or fastener if you try to use an improperly fitting tool. Spanners come in both fixed and adjustable styles, while wrenches are usually adjustable. Fixed spanners are meant to fit nuts and bolt heads of a specific size and shape. By contrast, adjustable wrenches and spanners may fit a range of nut, bolt and fastener sizes.

For both types of tools, quality construction is a must. Chrome vanadium or carbon-forged steel tools are best, for they are durable and will supply the torque necessary for most fastening applications. The open-ended spanner is the most common. Similarly, wrenches are designed to turn, tighten or loosen pipe as well as fasten nuts and bolts. Unlike adjustable spanners, a pipe wrench has serrated jaws to get a better grip on a pipe. Other types of pipe wrenches include Stilson, strap, footprint and mole wrenches. These provide varying amounts of pressure onto pipes with different diameters. Torque wrenches tighten nuts and bolts to precise specifications and often work in conjunction with sockets. Torque wrenches are most commonly used by mechanics. While they all tighten or loosen nuts, bolts, fasteners or hardware such as pipes, spanners and wrenches are similar, but each is used for a very specific purpose.

Ratchet and Clank Going Commando last wrench?

I was wondering how and where you get the strongest wrench in ratchet and clank 2. I passed the entire game twice. I seen in youtube that people have a wrench that can smash up thing without touching them. Please Help!

I think the last wrench upgrade is on aranos, or whatever the prison is called, but since you’ve passed the game before you probably already got it upgraded to the max. What you probably see in the videos is the box breaker. The box breaker is awesome because you just perform a hyper strike and all the boxes around you break and you get a bunch of bolts. To get the get the box breaker you have to go back to the first planet(oozala) and you take the route that does not lead to the magnetic gadget thing that you had to buy the first time. Eventually, near the end of the route you will have to go the end of a hallway and walk up with gravity boots, at the top a megacorp vendor should be there, max out your amno and go down the vent thing. After, you fall onto a lily pad and a boss fight is initiated with the swamp monster. It was kind of hard for me but its worth it Destroy the swamp monster and you will get the box breaker.
