How long do stick on nails last for?
I bought really pretty stick-on/pre-glued nails at WalMart. The brand is Pink [By Kiss] so how long would they last and how can i keep them good for at least 3 days?
I can get mine to last for 7-10 days in general but I’m a nail tech so apply them as I would for acrylics or gel.
You will need pure acetone, nail file and cotton buds/qtips
Make sure hands are clean and grease free.
Size up your nails laying them out in the order that they will be applied.
Score the underside of the artificial nail with a nail file, this is cross hatching and enables a much better bond.
Dip cotton bud into acetone and run it over your REAL nail a couple of times.
Dab nail glue onto crosshatched area of FALSE nail and press firmly onto your own nail, hold for 10 seconds for maximum adhesion
Using acetone removes some of the natural oils that are present in your nail plate. Its oils in the nail plate that make nails and glue seperate. Depending on how oily your nail plate is you should get around a week from your nails if you apply using this method.
